Michael Boyd
Osteopath and Practice Manager
Michael Boyd
My interest in health and well being started in the early 90’s when I discovered I had a natural ability to feel where it hurt in someone’s body and that I could help them feel better.
I started my professional training, initially as a chiropractor in the early 2000’s, and qualified as an osteopath in 2008. Since then I have completed post graduate training in cranial osteopathy and western acupuncture.
I have also trained in shiatsu and zero balancing which have their origins in Chinese medicine. I will use these techniques when required or on request.
For a number of years I worked for a medical charity that provided support to people with Chronic Fatigue/M.E. so I have an understanding of the challenges faced by those suffering from chronic pain.
I believe there are two key element to my treatment approach that lead to the success I have with my patients. The first is my ability to feel where it hurts in your body and to be able to empathise with the pain that you are feeling. The second is that I am passionate about finding a way to make you feel better. My aim from a treatment is that you leave the appointment better than when you arrived.
I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, the Shiatsu Society, British Medical Acupuncture Society, and the Zero Balancing Association.

Alastair Jones
Chartered Physiotherapist
Alastair Jones
I am a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 12 years in clinical practice, including more than a decade specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. My career has been firmly rooted within the NHS, having worked across both Wales and Hampshire, where I have developed extensive expertise in the assessment and management of complex musculoskeletal conditions.
I currently work full time in the NHS across two advanced clinical roles. For over six years, I have practised as a First Contact Physiotherapist, working closely alongside GPs to independently assess, triage, and manage musculoskeletal patients. This role involves diagnosing conditions, organising appropriate investigations, advising on medication, and coordinating onward referrals when required.
My clinical approach focuses on providing clarity and reassurance—helping patients truly understand their condition, the drivers behind their pain, and the most effective strategies for long-term management. Treatment is tailored to the individual and may include targeted exercise prescription, manual therapy, and acupuncture.
In addition, I work as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist within spinal services in Portsmouth, managing complex spinal conditions. In this role, I collaborate closely with spinal surgeons, pain consultants, and multidisciplinary pain management teams to deliver

Andrew Cooper
Sports & Soft Tissue Therapist
Andrew Cooper, LSSM/BTEC Dip, BSC Hons, PGCE Secondary
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself, and a little bit about me and how I have been led to massage therapy.
My background
I started my career in the leisure industry, working as a lifeguard and swimming teacher. My love of sport and teaching took me to university where I obtained a BSC Honours degree in Sports Science and Leisure Management from Brunel University, followed by a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education at London Metropolitan University.
I have over 20 years’ teaching experience and have been recognised as ‘outstanding’ and ‘the driving force behind high-quality PE teaching’. I have also founded, and still run, a very successful swim school in Surrey and Hampshire. I am a long-term sports fanatic, and nowadays, you’ll find me playing competitive hockey for Alton Hockey Club, and when I’m not on the hockey field, I’m either outdoors riding my mountain bike, open water swimming or spending time with my family.
Massage Therapy
I trained at the highly-respected London School of Sports Massage (LSSM). This involved a year of intensive study of anatomy and physiology as well as massage and advanced soft tissue techniques, culminating in a Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy – one of the highest levels of clinical massage therapy available in the UK.
I believe that sport and being physically active (no matter what shape or form that takes) is really important for our mental and physical well-being. I have seen from personal experience, and from friends and family, the huge impact massage therapy can have. Sports massage allows individuals to keep their body functioning at its optimal level, whether they are 25 or 85!
For years I had experienced severe pain in my groin and back. Pain which was sometimes so severe that it stopped me from doing the activities I love – which can be soul-destroying. This all changed when I met a talented and inspirational massage therapist who not only helped me with my pain in the long term, he also inspired me to make this my career.
I love seeing the positive changes that I can make to people’s lives by reducing their unnecessary pain and debilitation and take pride in helping people reach their full physical potential.
I am really looking forward to working within the clinic, and with yourselves.

Stephanie Fae Corbett
Sports & Soft Tissue Therapist
Stephanie Fae Corbett, LSSM/BTEC Dip
I hold a Level 5 BTEC Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy from the London School of Sports Massage and have been a Personal Trainer for over 10 years, specialising in remedial exercise to help individuals recover from injury, build strength, and restore mobility. With over a decade of experience in the health and wellness industry, I am passionate about helping people feel confident and comfortable in their own bodies, no matter their age or fitness level.
My journey has given me the privilege of working with clients ranging from their 20s to their 80s, and I understand the unique challenges that each stage of life can present. As a mother of two, I can relate to the ups and downs of life, balancing work, family, and personal well-being. This insight has shaped my approach—grounded in empathy, patience, and a holistic mindset.
In addition to my practical experience, I hold a degree in nutrition from the University of Surrey, which allows me to take a well-rounded approach to well-being. I believe that health isn’t just about physical fitness but also about nourishing the body and mind in a way that suits each individual’s lifestyle and goals.
The aim of the practice is to:
Help people stay active, exercising and playing sport
- Help people understand what’s wrong with them through accurate diagnosis and enable them to get better without fear
- Not just fix the current injury but ensure that the cause is identified and a rehab plan is put into place to improve general biomechanics and wellbeing
Provide a quick response to treatment requests, within 24 hours for acute clients and 72 hours for non-acute clients
Provide relevant medical practitioners ie GPs and Consultants with accurate diagnoses and feedback on clients as required
